Charlotte (Char) Bland

Charlotte (Char) Bland is a spark of power that not only walks her talk but shines through her integrity.  Her career mission is to facilitate the development and expansion of communities and organizations. Her occupational strategic plan focuses on creating engagements that reveal increasingly higher, more effective levels of success for corporations and communities.

Leadership and organizational development also have expanded Char’s community and corporate base throughout the USA. With several decades of experience working with corporate as well as not profit entities, Char has mastered both the concrete tools and intuitive skills to be able to guide, direct and support communities and corporations through the challenges of changing environments in which we live and work.

Char’s professional background as a Corporate Account Executive for fortune 100 companies such as Microsoft Corporation, Boeing Computer Services, Pitney Bowes Software, Office Depot Business Services Division, and a Xerox Agency supporting accounts across the USA and Canada with Technology Solutions Strategies.

Char served 6 years, as a Commissioner on the City of Pasadena Commission on the Status of Women and as the Past Chair championed efforts to increase awareness for pay equity, homelessness, women veterans, human trafficking, and other quality of life issues for women.

Char serves as a member of several boards in Southern California such as:

Pasadena Police Foundation, Los Angeles City College Foundation, Board President of Los Angeles CARES Mentoring Movement, Haven House (Safe House for Domestically abused Women and Children), GAP: Grandparents As Parents, YWCA of Pasadena, Peace Over Violence Los Angeles, Advisor Board Member of the Pasadena Junior League. Past Vice-Chair Association of California Commissions for Women, President Eaton Canyon Homes Homeowners Association. Chair of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion workgroup California Community College, NWPC GPA State Representative, Assembly Delegate District 41.

Char is an Alumni of Emerge California, Leadership Pasadena, Los Angeles African American Public Policy Institute, Southern California Leadership Institute, African American Board Leadership Institute, Char has always been a “Community Servant”.   In 2019-2020 she built a campaign by organizing volunteers, supporters, and endorsements as a Candidate for City Council, and was endorsed by now Vice President Kamala Harris who said in her endorsement statement “ my fresh approach and leadership will be a tremendous benefit.
